Water and sanitation Project
Namuyenje community suffers from scarcity of safe and clean water. Children walk long distances looking for water which hinders them from attending school on time, or not all.
The communities depend on the seasonal rains for water and unfortunately many families lack means of storage of this water for later use. Their spring wells are open and share them with animals which has increased the spread of water borne diseases in the area due to consumption of contaminated water.
Shalom Restoration ministries through its wash projects sensitizes the communities about good sanitation and hygiene through workshops and community meetings and also providing durable affordable water reservoirs to the neediest families.
